Pakistan Railways

THE railway system doesn’t work well, particularly in Sindh and Balochistan. This is one for the causes of the backwardness and poverty of the two provinces.

People having vested interests have ensured that the railway system doesn’t work. The result is the transport of the agricultural products is done through roads.

This has also caused not only a great loss to the agricultural sector, but also increased road accidents and crimes, including kidnapping for ransom.

The provincial leadership of Sindh and Balochistan is mostly inefficient and corrupt and doesn’t raise its voice for a better railway system.

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari should take up this matter with the railway ministry.
