RAWALPINDI: The anti-polio drive will commence in the district on October 24 during which 1,950 teams will go door-to-door to vaccinate 811,708 children of less than five years of age.
According to Executive District Officer Health Dr Arshad Ali, special measures have been taken for making the campaign successful.
He said that senior staff of the district health department will monitor the teams and that special counters will be set up in parks, railway stations, bus and wagon points, the airport and other transit points for administering polio drops and making sure no child under five is left unvaccinated. Dr Ali said negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
