Rest assured, there are voices of sanity on both sides of the Wagah divide. One of them is of Anurag Kashyap’s, the maker of off-beat films such as Gangs of Wasseypur.

Getting fed up with the row over the release of Karan Johar’s film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which has Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in an important role, he has come out in support of K-Jo saying that the director started making his film when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif in December 2015.

In a loaded tweet, he asked his prime minister, “Sir you haven’t said sorry for your trip to meet the Pakistani PM. It was Dec 25, same time K-Jo was shooting ADHM. Why is that we have to face it while you can be silent?”

My oh my, these are strong words. Anurag K, you are a brave man. Brace yourself for some hate speeches coming your way from rabid politicians and media warmongers such as Arnab Goswami.
