KPWCCI elects office-bearers

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday elected its office-bearers.

A statement issued here said that prominent businesswoman Shamama Arbab was elected unopposed as KPWCCI president.

The announcement was made by the members of the election committee, including Nuzhat Rauf and others.

The election committee also said that two other candidates Iqbal Bano and Umama Ishafq were elected senior vice-president and vice-president, respectively.

It said that earlier Fitrat Ilyas Bilour, Ambreen Zahid, Huma Mohsin, Farhat Sayul, Naseem Akhtar, Maria Dastagir, Tasneem Zahir Shah, Shahida Mazhar, Rukhsana Nadir, Iqbal Bano, Nighat Nawab, Fauzia Inayat and Zilhuma had been elected unopposed to the trade body.

The elected officials will assume their offices on Oct 1.
