NOWSHERA: Three persons were killed while six others sustained injuries when the roof of an under-construction house caved in at Nowshera Kalan here on Sunday.

Police said that the roof of the house collapsed as labourers were busy in construction work. As a result, two owners of the house, Mohammad Fayaz and Mohammad Sadique and one labourer Salman Shah died on the spot, while six other labourers Yaseen, Zaryab, Faisal Nawaz, Qasim Khan, Yousaf and Riaz Khan were injured.

Hospital sources said that the three wounded persons had been shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar in precarious condition.

A villager Tariq Khan said that people rushed to the house soon after the incident and started rescue work.
