WELLINGTON: All-rounder Corey Anderson has been recalled to the New Zealand cricket team for its one-day matches against India next month.

Anderson hasn't played for New Zealand since February because of a back injury, but demonstrated his fitness in three matches for a New Zealand XI against an Emerging XI at Christchurch last week.

Batsman Anton Devcich, all-rounder Jimmy Neesham and wicketkeeper BJ Watling have also been recalled to the 15-man squad for the five-match series that begins at Dharamsala on October 16.

Chief selector Gavin Larsen said Anderson's “superb professionalism throughout his rehab process has led to this point and it's a credit to him and the hard work he's put in”.
