The reason behind the shooting could not be determined till the filing of this report.

A large number of students and teachers of the school reached the hospital. They protested against the alleged murder and demanded arrest of the culprit as well as security for teachers. They also shouted slogans against the government.

The protest was led by Malik Ahmad Khan, president of the teachers association of Mianwali tehsil.

District Police Officer Sadiq Ali Dogar also reached the DHQ Hospital with his force to avoid any untoward incident and promised the enraged students and teachers that the culprit would be arrested soon.

On his assurance, the protesters dispersed.
