RAHIM YAR KHAN: Police on Sunday arrested two women and a man who were entering Sindh from Punjab at Kot Sabzal checkpoint, after recovering 1,500 detonators, 10 kilogram explosive material and 10 bundles of wire from their car.

According to police sources, a silver car occupied by three people -- a man and two women -- was stopped at the checkpoint set up on Punjab-Sindh border.

When the car was searched, police recovered the explosive material, detonators and wire hidden in various parts of the vehicle, the sources said.

Kot Sabzal police arrested the three suspects and started investigation.

District Police Officer Zeeshan Asghar was on leave, while Investigation SP Irfan Samoon could not be contacted to confirm the arrests and explosives’ recovery.
