KARACHI: Delighted on his ODI recall, lanky fast bowler Mohammad Irfan, who left for the UK on Sunday night via Dubai to join the national side, says that he will give his heart out to bring Pakistan ODI team on a winning track.

Earlier, talking to DawnNews on Sunday, the fast bowler said that he had worked hard on his fitness and got good practice in the recently-concluded camp organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), adding that he was now ready to serve Pakistan again in the international arena.

Expressing his desire of taking early wickets to give a good start to Pakistan, trailing 0-2 in the five-match series after losing the first two ODIs, the pacer maintained he was confident of giving his side better results on England soil unlike his very first tour of Pakistan back in 2010.

As regards his fitness, the fast bowler said that selectors were in constant touch with him, adding that he might get a chance in Test cricket too after he succeeded in satisfying selectors about his fitness.

Irfan said Joe Root was a quality batsman whom he would aim for in order to put pressure on England middle order.
