MARDAN: Officials of Counter-Terrorism Department on Friday claimed to have arrested two alleged facilitators of a banned militant group.

The relevant officials of CTD told Dawn that the arrested facilitators were identified as Ihtisham and Noor-ul-Haq, residents of Khazana area of Peshawar district.

Following a tip-off, they said the personnel of CTD raided a house located on Charsadda road and arrested the alleged facilitators of the banned militant group. They said that the facilitators were involved in the process to provide both Pakistani and Afghani fake biometric mobile Sims to the militant group. They claimed they had also recovered fake Sims from their possession during raid on their hideout.

The officials, however, said that the facilitators were being interrogated so that other members their alleged network could also be arrested.

They claimed that they were expecting a breakthrough in their action against the militants.
