LB polls in GB

ELECTIONS were held in Gilgit-Baltistan in June2015 and the PML-N formed government with Hafiz Hafeez Ur Rehman as chief minister. Unfortunately, even after the passage of a year, his administration is reluctant to hold local government elections and transfer power at the grass roots level.

The Gilgit-Baltistan government should transfer power to the people on a priority basis, so that the people’s issues can be resolved at their doorstep.
