Wow! This girl is sassy, smart and politically correct. Last week, the dusky damsel-not-in-distress Richa Chadha and Pakistani actor who has won millions of hearts in India, Fawad Khan, addressed a joint press conference in Melbourne. There, a pen-pusher asked Fawad K about the cultural differences that exist between Indian and Pakistani societies. Before he could speak, Richa C got hold of the microphone and gave a thought provoking spiel. She said we (India and Pakistan) were “colonised by the British for a long time and whenever the British left an empire, they divided it”.
To support her argument she dished out the examples of South and North Korea. The actress said that both she and Fawad K are from the northern part of India and she has more in common with him than anyone from the North-East.
Whoosh! The gal can talk. If she ever decides to become a politician, the world of Indian politics will simmer and sizzle like a sweltering summer day.
