LAHORE: The Pakistan Chemical Manufacturers Association announced on Wednesday adopting Responsible Care Initiative for bringing revolution in the chemical industry.
Association’s vice-chairman Ibrar Ahmad told reporters at the Lahore Press Club that the initiative would help the industry in adopting international standards in the processes of manufacturing and supply chain of chemicals.
He urged the government to set up special chemical zones for increasing exports.
Mr Ahmad said that Pakistan had a total market of around Rs25 billion while the world had a market volume of about $5,000 billion.
The RCI would help adopt international standards in the manufacturing of chemicals, its purity, security, transportation and trade supply.
