SWAT: A 27-year-old man was stoned to death and a married woman injured by her relatives in the name of 'honour' after the two were found in an 'objectionable position' in her family's home in the Barikot area on Wednesday, police said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sadiq Akbar said the woman's father confessed to killing the man and injuring his daughter after finding them in an 'objectionable position', saying he had done so in the name of 'honour'.
Police said the woman's husband worked abroad. According to eyewitnesses, the woman's in-laws' residence was near her uncle's house, where she was allegedly caught with the man. Her relatives called her parents to the house, the eyewitnesses claimed.
When police reached the spot, they found the couple in chains. The man was dead, while the woman, who was injured, had a noose around her neck. Police said the family were planning to hang her.
Police arrested the woman's father and another relative and collected evidence of the attack from the scene of crime. The woman was shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Don't send your hubby abroad then. This is common. If the husband works abroad, he should also take his wife with him.
I know many stories of women being left at home when husband is abroad. Obviously the woman has urges and desires she needs to quench.

@Farrukh what was the point in killing the couple. If the woman had found someone else to love the husband could have divorced her for being unfaithful but why is the solution always to kill and only to kill.

@Zara Abbas Question is also that why the lady did not seek divorce and married the man instead of having illicit relations? Such things are not acceptable in our religon and society. Although the action of killing is also wrong.

Couple did the wrong task . Punishment must be given to couple. There is no authority to anyone to take law in his hands. The relative should inform the govt for committing the illicit action. It is not love to arrange the illicit relation with anyone in absence of husband(he is in abroad). I am not against the love. but I am against the illicit relationship. Which destroy the family and society.

Violence in any shape or form can not be condoned or justified, this has to stop! full stop!!
Men in the name of honour (ghairat) have to learn to respect individual choices and stop treating women as commodities. The law should take its course but violence is wrong....

@Zara Abbas Killing is not justified in any religion but what she did was wrong. She could simply ask for separation. This is a breach of trust when you are in an agreement/contract or nikah.

@kash Kash you understand the relationship of husband and wife. This relationship is not all about desires and urges. It is also about responsibility and sacrifice. We can neither justify what the woman did nor what her relatives did. There is no justification for extramarital affair but there are legal ways to deal with this unfortunate happening. The husband can divorce her wife but killing in such a brutal way is no solution.

let the couple chose who to marry ,we won't get these hidden love and killings.
Killing hanging a poor woman its not a human value , and religion should be kept out of it. My heart goes out for this poor girl and the man as well.
And if asked those who did this act , i guarantee you they have done similar things but never got caught.

woman of 27 years old and her husband is overseas. What should she do? So far, in Pakistan we have not defined that besides food, clothing and shelter there are biological needs and how to meet them. Islam teaches that a man should not stay away from his wife for more than 90 days. Am I right?
This is horrible what happened. And the man lost his life for nothing.
