RAWALPINDI: Police have found a decomposed body of a young woman stuffed in a bag lying abandoned in Dhoke Charaghdin on Tuesday, police said.

Police said though there was no torture marks on her body, she was apparently strangled somewhere else and thrown her body here.

Passersby spotted the bag lying along the bank of Nullah Leh and informed the police.

SP Attique Tahir told Dawn that woman seemed to be murdered in the name of honour some three days ago and her body was thrown in Dhoke Charaghdin. “Nothing else was found from the scene which could help the police to identify the woman,” the SP added.

Civil Lines SHO Chaudhry Rafiq told Dawn that the police had not received any complaint regarding missing of woman during the last couple of days. Therefore, the police believed that she had been killed somewhere else and thrown here.
