LAHORE: National hockey training camp for the Asian Champions Trophy commenced here at the Johar Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.
The fourth edition of the Asian Champions Trophy will be held from Oct 20 to 30 in Malaysia.
Most players will participate in the camp, said camp commandant Khwaja Junaid while talking to APP after the opening day training session.
“Eight players are taking part in different hockey tournaments at home while five are featuring in league in Malaysia and all of them are likely to join the camp in a few days,” said the former Olympian.
He said that the players underwent fitness test which would help in judging their individual fitness level. “We will be maintaining a fitness record of each player in order to know their overall improvement at the end of the camp,” he maintained.
