The people behind the mobile cinema project Parday Pe Rahnay Do need to be commended for coming up with the noble idea of taking the experience of cinema to those parts of the country where there are no such recreational facilities.
This means they will install big screens on vehicles such as trucks and take them around to the remote areas of Pakistan. Akhlaque Mahesar, who initiated the campaign, said his team will not stop here. They also intend to institute an award show for films in which not just the artists but technicians (be they spot boys, sound engineers or DoPs) will be appreciated for their work. Wow! If that can happen, then the culture of cinema may indeed grow roots.
