PESHAWAR: The activists of Pasban on Friday held a demonstration here against the killing of innocent Kashmiris by Indian forces, and urged the United Nations to implement its resolutions for plebiscite in the occupied valley.

The protesters had gathered outside Peshawar Press Club where they also set on fire the effigy of Indian Prime Minister Narindra Modi and shouted anti-India slogans. They held banners and placards inscribed with different slogans showing solidarity and integrity with Kashmiri people.

The protesters were led by Yousaf Jamal Ormar, Haji Malik Iqbal Chamkani and Khalid Kareem Khan. The Pasban activists told media persons that the international community had turned a blind eye to Indian forces’ brutal killing of innocent Kashmiris. They said since Modi came into power, the Indian forces had expedited the massacre of Kashmiris. They maintained that India considered itself a model democratic state in the world but its real face was uncovered by the brutality in the occupied valley.

“India is violating the United Nations resolutions,” Mr Yousuf said, lamenting that international human rights activists had become a silent spectator on the grave issue. “We are with our Kashmiri brethren and ready to render any kind of sacrifice till the liberation of Kashmir.”

He urged the government to record its protest at the international level against the cruelty of Indian forces.
