LAHORE: The national selection committee headed by Inzamam-ul-Haq has picked 31 players for the NCA High Performance Camp at the National Cricket Academy here.
The three-week camp will commence on Aug 1, said a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesman on Friday.
Prominent among the players who will be attending the camp are former captain Shoaib Malik, pacers Mohammad Irfan, Umar Gul, Junaid Khan, Anwar Ali, Ehsan Adil, Bilawal Bhatti, batsmen Sharjeel Khan, Babar Azam, Sohaib Maqsood and all-rounder Imad Wasim.
These players have chances to earn place in the Pakistan team for the upcoming ODI series against Ireland followed by the five-match ODI series against England, starting after the ongoing Test series in England.
Interestingly, the name of 20-year-old Imam-ul-Haq, Inzamam’s nephew, has also been included in the list of camp players.
