UPPER DIR: At least six people, including women, were killed while seven others sustained critical injuries when a vehicle fell into a deep ravine at Jandari area of Kohistan here on Wednesday.

Thal police said a non-custom-paid mini-truck was carrying members of a family to Lamoty area, but when it reached Jandari the driver lost control over the vehicle, as a result of which it plunged into a deep ravine. Six people were killed on the spot, who were identified as Mohammad Zamin Khan, Said Faqeer, his wife, daughter; wife of Zamin and Khan Zaman. Seven others were seriously wounded, who were taken to Sheringle hospital.
