RAWALPINDI: Heavy rain on Wednesday kills a man while injuring more than 18 others in Rawalpindi.

Naeem Raza, 35, a poultry farm worker was killed and two colleagues were injured after the roof of their room caved in Rawat during heavy downpour.

Police said Naeem Raza along with Ali Akbar and Adnan Ahmed were sleeping in the room, located adjacent to the poultry farm when the roof of their room collapsed.

In another rain related incident, 15 passengers were injured when a heavy tree fell on Mansehra-bound bus near Rawat. The injured including the bus driver and conductor were shifted to hospital by the police.

All the injured were allowed to go home after they were provided first aid.

The wall of the residence of a senior official of Adiala jail collapsed during heavy rain. However, nobody was injured in the incident.
