SAHIWAL: The district headquarters hospital mosque’s prayer leader who was arrested for having alleged links with a banned outfit will be produced before an anti-terrorism court on July 30.

Qari Usman was picked by the Counter Terrorism Department police on Tuesday and shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.

According to sources, during the interrogation the suspect has confessed to having links with the banned militant outfit and passing information to it regarding chief minister’s visit to the DHQ Hospital on the second day of Eidul Fitr.

The sources said he would be presented before ATC on July 30 to seek his physical remand.
