Hamza Ali Abbasi is back on Facebook and no ban can stop him

The actor took up the Kashmir issue once again as soon as the ban on his Facebook profile was lifted
26 Jul, 2016

It has been three days since the ban on Hamza Ali Abbasi's Facebook profile has been lifted, but ban or no ban, nothing can stop this actor from voicing his concern on the Kashmir siege.

Upon recovering his account, he immediately posted a status calling out Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg (among others) for defining who is and isn't a terrorist.

Hamza Ali Abbasi took up the opportunity to teach Facebook a lesson about who is and isn't a terrorist.
Hamza Ali Abbasi took up the opportunity to teach Facebook a lesson about who is and isn't a terrorist.

Earlier, the actor's account was banned for sharing a status supporting Burhan Wani Shaheed, a deceased separatist commander killed by Indian forces in Indian-held Kashmir.

Following the ban he tweeted, "Banned again for 3 days. Now FB will tell us who is and isn't a terrorist."

Facebook is keeping close check on the actor's account. Before this incident, his account was suspended by Facebook for touching upon the sensitive topic of the Kashmir seige. "It's absurd how the flag bearers of "Freedom of Speech" act in this way for raising a voice for victims of aggression," said Abbasi while speaking to Dawn.com.

The question that arises is, will Facebook delete Hamza Ali Abbasi's account from the social media platform if this persists?

The blatant hypocrisy of the West at naked display, they wouldn't take down blasphemous materials for 'freedom of speech' but continuously block Hamza for taking a rightful stand and free speech. Pity these two faced hypocrites who think he's creating a controversy, these selective humanitarians are blind to the plight of Kashmiris.

Why our people do not understand the difference in a Jew and Israel. Israel is country. You cannot call the whole country as Terrorist. Even you cannot generalize the followers of any religion. Calling all Jews and the whole country as terrorist is stupid and illogical. Hamza must think about it. This is like we are protesting in front of the world that Kindly do not generalize the Muslims and Pakistanis. But interestingly we are generalizing the whole country on our own.?. Israel will have good and bad people, just like Pakistan. Protesting Generalization with Generalization will make us a Laughing stock for the world.

If Mr. Abbasi is so angry with facebook; why go back and complain. Leave FB as a mark of protest. However, if you stay, you will have to follow it's guidelines. Period. Staying back and complain is like being an arrogant teenager.

@Rajdeep If Hamza quit FB than that would conclude that Facebook can dictate to us what we should deem as right and wrong. Facebook is just a social platform and that is all, it has no right to tell anyone what to believe in ! It should stay out of politics !

Opportunistic !!! He always look for opportunity to get fame. We all know we are not making any difference when it comes to writing these kind of comments. We need to change completely if want to support really Kashmiri people. He will work for any Bollywood thriller as soon as he gets an offer.
