ABBOTTABAD: The Counter-Terrorism Department, Hazara Division, claimed on Monday to have arrested a wanted terrorist involved in sabotage activities in the region and other parts of the province.

According to a press release, the outlaw, Hafizul Haq, was arrested from Thakot tehsil of Battagram district. He was an active commander of the outlawed TTP, and was in-charge of terrorist activities in Hazara Division.

On the revelation of the terrorist, the CTD personnel also recovered huge cache of explosives and ammunition hidden in the forests of Thakot. The items included a six kilogramme bomb, equipments used in making bombs, 10kg explosives, detonator cord, safety fuses, electric wire, a remote-controlled device, two toy bombs and four remote-controlled receivers. During the initial interrogation, the terrorist admitted to having committed and supervised terrorist activities in parts of Hazara.

A CTD official said the accused was shifted to an unknown place for further investigation.
