LAHORE: A man and a woman were ‘electrocuted’ and another person was injured in Galaxo Town on Friday.

Rescue 1122 officials said three people were crossing a street in Galaxo Town when they came in contact with a live electricity wire submerged in water. They suffered critical injuries and fell unconscious.

The rescue team took the injured to the Lahore General Hospital, where Muhammad Azeem, 26, and a woman were declared dead while the third person was in a critical condition.

Police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to morgue for identification.

ROOF COLLAPSE: Two teenage girls were injured when the roof of their house collapsed in Kahna on Friday.

Rescue 1122 officials said they received an emergency call that the roof of a house collapsed in Madina Colony, Kahna. He said they reached the spot and pulled out the girls who were hospitalised. They were identified as Amna, 14, and Ayesha, 17.
