LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau, Lahore, on Friday arrested four people, including a Lesco Xen, on the charges of corruption.
According to NAB, Azizur Rehman, EXEN Lesco Sheikhupura, in connivance with Ahmed Shahzad, Muhammad Naeem and Shafqat Mahmood allegedly misused authority and sent inflated electricity bills to the Flying Paper Mills.
On receiving complaint, Nepra decided the matter in favor of the complainant M/S Flying Paper Mills. Furthermore, the NAB said accused persons demanded illegal gratification for the adjustment of the bill.
“Thus they committed the offence of misuse of authority and corruption and corrupt practices,” it said, adding the accused would be produced in the accountability court on Saturday for obtaining physical remand.
