It's reboot season in Bollywood.

Many classics are getting a modern upgrade, and joining the list is Aamir Khan- and Madhuri Dixit-starrer, Dil.

Director Indra Kumar has announced that he will begin shooting the sequel of his 1990 hit this year, reports Indian Express.

The sequel's cast remains officially unannounced, although rumour has it that Varun Dhawan and Fukrey actor Pulkit Samrat are possible successors of Aamir Khan.

In Dil, Aamir stars as a poor, careless lad whose father (Anupam Kher) is trying to find him a rich bride. Kher succeeds in duping a wealthy businessman in arranging his daughter's marriage to his no-good son. The daughter (Madhuri Dixit) turns out to be Aamir's college enemy. Ultimately, they fall in love, only to face a series of obstacles in their happily ever after.

Director Kumar hopes to “get back to the romantic zone” after directing a series of adult comedies like the upcoming Grand Grand Masti recently.

Kumar told IANS: “We will start rolling this year. I am excited about this project as Dil has always been close to my heart. We are deciding on the star cast. Since it has been a successful film, I don’t want to let people down. I want to make it special.”

“I want to make a romantic film, so it’s (the sequel is) a conscious effort,” he added.

i think "Qayamat se Qayamat tak" should be reborn again. Juhi and Amir's chemistry is better than Madhuri.
