LAHORE: PML-Q leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Husain and Pervaiz Elahi on Tuesday told Saudi Arabian Ambassador Abdullah Zahrani that blasts in his country were a source of grief and sorrow for the entire Muslim world and every Pakistani was ready to offer his/her life for the protection of the holy mosques.

Expressing solidarity with Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the Saudi government and its people, the Chaudhrys said the people of Pakistan stood by them.

“The anti-Islam elements tried to violate sanctity of such a place. No Muslim can even think of such a non-pious act. Every Pakistani is standing by the Saudi government and its people in the war against terrorism. Demonstration of unity and solidarity by the Muslim world and joint measures to foil every attack of anti-Islam elements are dire need of the hour. Our hearts and prayers are with the bereaved families and we share their sorrow and grief,” they said.

Meanwhile, former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has condemned the attacks in Saudi Arabia. He expressed solidarity with the Saudi government and said the people of Pakistan were standing by the Saudis in this difficult time.
