LAHORE: PPP leader Faryal Talpur has said the party will hold demonstrations outside the Election Commission office if it does not delete bogus votes from the voters’ lists in Azad Kashmir poll on Lahore seat.

Presiding over a meeting here on Thursday, Ms Talpur said the PPP’s concerns should be addressed, otherwise it would not only hold demonstrations outside the ECP’s Lahore office but also in Azad Kashmir.

PPP candidate Umar Sharif Bokhari briefed Ms Talpur about the party’s preparations for the election.

“A PPP legal team headed by Sardar Latif Khosa will challenge illegal allotment of plots to non-Kashmiris,” Mr Bokhari said, adding the PPP would expose every single ‘non-Kashmiri’ voter.

The PPP has already demanded of the ECP to hold the election on Lahore seat on July 21 under army.

There are about 4,000 votes of the Azad Kashmir’s Lahore seat.
