KARACHI: Thanking the nation for praying for his early recovery, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed the hope that “everything will be fine”.

“I have been part of several meetings held for preparation of the budget, so there will be no difficulty in handling the issues. Shahbaz Sharif is here and has forwarded me some proposals regarding the budget and discussed the related issues. So I believe that everything will be fine and we should hope for the best,” the prime minister said while talking to reporters outside the Pakistan High Commission in London before presiding over a meeting of the federal cabinet through video link.

He said the nation had made him proud, showing so much care and praying for his health. “I am thankful to the entire nation which has been praying for me. I have been reading and watching all that over news channels. I have also been following social media where people have showed their love and care. That’s very kind of the people of Pakistan.”
