GWADAR: Chief of the National Party (NP) and federal Minister for Port and Shipping Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo has said that Baloch leaders living abroad in self-exile are misguiding the youth to serve their interests.

Addressing a public meeting held to pay tribute to NP’s senior leader Dr Yasin Baloch in Panjgur, Mr Bizenjo said that the nation was struggling with poverty, hunger, illiteracy and other problems and those living in Dubai, London and Paris should come back to Pakistan if they wanted to bring about change in people’s lives.

He said that having political differences was a democratic right of all but “we urge all to maintain a united stance for the protection of natural resources such as Gwadar seaport, Reko Diq and the long-stretched coastal belt of Balochistan.

Former chief minister Dr Abdul Malik Balcoh denied making compromise deals on Gwadar and Reko Diq projects.

He claimed that as a chief minister he had cancelled deals about thousands of acres in Gwadar of those people who today were levelling charges against him.

He said he was ready for accountability and added that he had entered politics only to benefit the Baloch people. He claimed that peace had been restored to the province during his two-and-a-half years in office. The NP restored the credibility of the Balochistan Public Service Commission and struggled for the passage of 18th Amendment, he added.

Others who spoke were NP vice president Tahir Bizenjo, Minister for Health Rehmat Baloch, Dr Ishaq Baloch, Dr Shama Ishaq, Rajab Yasin and Tahira Baloch.
