According to results of a recent survey conducted by OGO, a company that promotes ending the ‘recognition deficit’ at companies around the world, 82pc of American workers say that they don’t feel that their managers recognise them enough for their contributions. Such a lack of recognition, according to researchers, leads to lower morale and productivity. In fact, of those surveyed, 40pc said that if they received recognition more often, they would put more energy into their work.
