LAHORE: Most of the private schools in Lahore and elsewhere on Wednesday announced summer vacation from Thursday (today) on the government’s order.

The private schools, including Lahore Grammar School (Township branches), informed parents that they could not continue holding the examinations after the government ordered closure of their campus.

The parents were informed the schools, however, would announce the result in first week of June and the students would be evaluated on the basis of their past exams record for the remaining papers.

Homework would also be given to the students at the time of result announcement.

Meanwhile, the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation condemned what they called discrimination on the government’s part to allow some elite schools to remain open for examination and forcibly closing down some others.
