ISLAMABAD: The federal government has given the Cabinet Division additional secretary charge of the post of Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman for a period of 22 days.

The chairman, Maroof Afzal, has taken one month leave starting May 22 for personal reasons. In a stop-gap arrangement in his absence Capital Administration and Development Division Additional Secretary Zafar Nasrullah is looking after the CDA’s affairs.

Now, according to an Establishment Division notification issued on Tuesday, Cabinet Division Additional Secretary Shahrukh Nusrat will, in addition to his own duties, take charge of the post of CDA chairman from May 30 to June 22.

The CDA is being governed by its board, which consists of the chairman and six members – the member planning and design, member engineering, member environment, member finance, member administration and member estate.

However, three members’ offices, the members finance, environment and estate, are running on an ad hoc basis.
