SWAT: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Sunday said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should know that education, not motorways reform nations.
At a rally in Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), he hit back at prime minister over his recent 'where is Naya KP' remarks, by saying that 'Naya KP' will be seen in schools and not on newly developed roads.
"You must think before announcing such projects as you will not stay in power to complete them," said the PTI chief.
Reminding the people about his party-led government's investment in people and their education, he said that soon KP will be the most educated province of Pakistan and education is what develops a nation.

"KP is the only province where police is not politicised and our policemen were the ones who, within 24 hours solved the case of Soran Singh's (party legislator) murder," said Imran Khan.
He claimed that corruption has seen a steady decline in the province after PTI came into power and medical facilities have improved and will further improve in the KP.
Imran Khan lashed out at the the ruling PML-N and said that they could not bring any positive change despite two straight terms in Punjab.
"Now they say everyone is corrupt, if I am corrupt, start investigation against me or arrest me, this is what governments do. If we come into power, we will put you in jail and hold you accountable," said Imran Khan.
He asked the people of Swat to demand KP's due share in electricity, gas and water distribution from the PM, when he makes a visit to the area.

It is pertinent to note here that in March, the PM, during a workers convention in Peshawar, announced Peshawar - Kabul motorway and also said that the Hazara motorway is also not far from completion.
He had said that the PTI-led government in KP had been given every opportunity to remedy the problems faced by the province, but it had failed, adding that he wanted to see a 'Naya Khyber Pakhtunkhwa'.
"Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will have expressways and motorways, and the PML-N will build them for you and your future generations," he stated.
Just last week, the PM, flanked by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, performed the groundbreaking ceremony of a gas pipeline and the 285-kilometre-long DI Khan-Hakla Motorway, part of the western leg of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The PM also allocated a fund of Rs500 million for development projects in DI Khan, including an agriculture university and an international airport.

Education? Mr ik dont test the intelligenceok kpk people. Everyone know the drastic situation og education in kpk. Education budget not utilized, many students are forced to study in open air in kpk. Apparently due to incapability ik is unable to deliver any development and wants to escape the zero work tag by crticizing developments. He is a laughing stock and only man on earth who crticizes development. Well, mr khan work and work for kpk and develop it. People are not fooled by words and are not entertained by crticisinm instead they are enteetained by development, jobs, industries, education

We lack infrastructure and they are government responsiblity because of high cost and less revenue . Education and health care should regulate but not operate by goverment . Goverment institute always get corrupt espically in our part of worle. Our existing goverment education institute are in dire straits and they should be fixed first and it goes for infrastructure also. Please all politician you are law makers not not the builders , just make laws which are better for country.

If p.m is not there, ik is thinking he would be the automatic choice for p.m after disaster in performance in kpk. Ik people will not vote for incapability and you have seen in peshawar and baluchistan. Perform in kpk and kikck out corrupts and leave support of corrupts.

Completely agree with IK. NS focus on metros and motorways, for largely uneducated population and their rickety rickshaws and taxis is not going to make the country prosperous.

Khan sb we are not impressed by your words that roads and developments are not necessary. For motorways i must tell you each and every kpk person utilizes motorways and appreciates it. Usa, china model for development is built around roads networks. Khan sb when you are unable to deliver then dont criticize developments as people make fun of you. Instead develop kpk and reduce you anxiety.

Religious education does not improve a nation. During JI/PTI rule the school syllabus has become more religious than before.
It is science and quality education which imparts skills and production, which in turn creates prosperity and peace.

IK you could have enlightened them bit more with what you meant by naya kp in school, because i seriously doubt they still must be dazed and amazed and thinking like "lakeer kay fakeer" that no road no metro like projects huh. kindly sometimes try to talk their way thry dont have the capacity to absorb high level concepts ;)

Development is multi faceted not only health and education. KPK even failed to utilize funds allocated for health and education. It distributed millions to undeserving people just to spend available funds. Running government is different than managing a cricket team. PTI or IK doesn't have the capacity to undertake development projects. It is only interested in hindering CPEC at one pretext or the other.

Yes, No 1 Priority should be Jobs Creations, Good Schools, Hospitals, Police Reforms, law and order and human development.
We don't need Motor Ways, Metro, Orange Train Service, and who will pay subsidy on these failed projects, which is almost Rs20 Billion a year?? Instead earning something, we will lose extra money on these projects.
If we spend on human development and job creation, all these projects are automatically taken care of.

Imran Khan just revealed his real fear ! He is afraid that the projects started by Nawaz Sharif will transform Pakistan and Imran won't have a chance in the next elections so he better start dharnas now to stop things developing. Remember he said CPEC is just a joke by Nawaz Sharif but now that it's real he is afraid of the benefit to Pakistani economy.

Mr. PM, its the NHA not building the Chakdara and Kalam Road. So you are directly responsible for the hardship of the people in this area. Don't put the blame on the KPK Govt as the NHA is responsible for all the roads connecting the districts, but your focus is only on Lahore and your overseas trips. Thanks to IK's pressure to make you work otherwise you have forgotten us.

Well don't know and don't care what he did and how he got his money to his off shore accounts but I do know this that education is vital and to change peoples mindset and develop the country education is key. Nawas keeps making new roads and motorways while the existing infrastructure is crumbling. The projects undertaken by Shareef brothers is never researched scrutinised nor questioned by the financers. The cost and unsustainability of these projects have sky rocketed. We have lost crucial plants, trees and agricultural lands. Considering that agriculture is a staple revenue of our country and a contributor to our GDP we have only lost fertile lands due to improper planning and zoning. Part of the blame lies with people of Pakistan.

I hope People understand that by just declaring development projects, it wouldn't make us developed. I remember I was around 12 years ov age when Nawaz Sharif visited Loralai in Balouchistan in 1998 and announced an airport for loralaia, its 2016 and still there is no airport in Loralai.

@Khan , USA well i go to KP every week or two.there are considerable changes ,obviously things wont turn 180 degrees in matters of days.but if keep it even on the lower side. things slightly getting better than rest of the provinces .first thing matter is sincerity rest of the things get streamlined by itself.
