Looks like we'll be seeing two Pakistani stars in the the upcoming Sridevi-starrer Mom.

This is Adnan's second overseas film project, after his role in Mariane Pearl's memoir adaptation, A Mighty Heart. He also has a key role in Dr Hassan Waqas Rana's Yalghaar.

Mom also marks Akshay Khanna's comeback in cinema and stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a special appearance. Jazbaa actor Abhimanyu Singh plays a 'villainous' character in the film.

@Rohit Why don't you see it as more and more Pakistani talent working in India. Does India has shortage of talent? I guess not. Then why Indian producers hiring Pakistani talent. The answer is simple-making more money from Pakistani market, which is slowly and gradually becoming the biggest 'overseas market' for India. So this is a win-win deal for both the parties, that is, Pakistani talent and Indian producers.

@Rohit What's the point here you are trying to make. Off course India has big film industry and it can accommodate talents from around the world like many Indian actors are working in Hollywood movies even in TV series like Quantico. Are they working for free there?

This is all for commercial purpose. Hollywood hiring Indian actors as they would like to attract the English speaking population of India. While inclusion of Pakistani actors in Indian cinema provides access to additional 190 million people to India's 1 billion population

Thanks to Pakistani artists for agreeing to act in Indian movies. Of course it's India that should be thankful as they will be cashing on the Pakistani market. It's all about the money. Minor roles, and less movies time for Pakistani artists but big money for Bollywood

Being an Indian, gives me immense pleasure, when I see the two countries collaborating on various levels ! Artistic exchange must happen, both ways... I would definitely love to see Indian actors, singers, or producers work in Pakistan as well... And the nay Sayers, can go back to the stone ages and live in their caves... Together we win! It's the only way forward!

This film is not about the stormy relationship between a stepmother and her daughter. It is about the Damini rape case. Sridevi's daughter in the film gets raped and she seeks justice. Akshaye Khanna, who plays a cop in the film, helps her.
