Why not in Pakistan?

Pakistani cricket head never even thinks about playing in Pakistan. How other will think. Atleast they should say we will try and if it doesnt work out then we will go with plan B i.e. playing in UAE.

@sameer they know trying is futile and second option is what they only have. Even PSL 2 would be played in UAE completely.

@sameer because they are realistic in their approach. WI just sbubbed them for even a single match in PAK. They are no Zimbabweans desperate for money.

Some points to ponder upon, why are only cricket teams against playing cricket in Pakistan? There are many foreign diplomats and other foreigners including Indian engineers, why don't they fear their lives? Why do only cricketers fear their lives in Pakistan? Because terrorism is not the reason for which Pakistan is being snubbed to host any cricket tournament in Pakistan. It is due to cricket board's incompetence, compromises on financial deals, sponsors, UAE and Indians monopolizing ICC, that is Indian cricket council.

@divergence If India is monopolizing ICC then how come they allowed ZIM to tour PAK last year? They could have easily lured ZIM by offering them double or triple of what they got by PCB. Also diplomats get totally different level of security than cricketers. They (diplomats) are to be protected by all means no matter what.

@India First not necessarily about diplomats, I advise you to broaden your reading on world's news, you will come across many such incidents where even random tourists are targeted by terrorists or whoever these guys are, merely due to the reason that they were foreigners. About the reasons I cited, they are valid enough considering the observation of targets whom these "so called terrorists" have targeted. About Zimbabwe, they are not even among the top 7 or 8 teams, and as far as I know, they don't play much cricket even in their own country. Anyway, I don't like to give cricket more importance as it deserves, but other teams are also speaking for Indian dominance over ICC. It is undeniable fact.

@divergence name them, and don't count Richards views as those of WICB. I'll tell you the real fact, when only ENG and AUS had the throne of ICC, everything was fine. Be it boycotting Lanka in '96 WC, always reserving best umpires for the ashes which they still do, having 2 new balls in ODIs to get rid of reverse swing or bringing 15 degree 'bend' rule. Yes! Perhaps you people have forgotten that it wasn't BCCI who got Muralitharan reported and brought that 15 degree law in place. Anyways, now that BCCI realized its potential, became richest board on its own, achieved the position that it has today, suddenly everyone seems to have a problem. And yes its not because of population else PCB would have been 2nd richest.

We need to promote Cricket in Pakistan. Why not PCB negotiate with WI to play in Pakistan. May be 2 test and 3 ODI in Pakistan. Sure there is always issue of security.

@divergence you are contradicting yourself in many ways. If West Indies playing with Pakistan it's a good news, why you need India to drag in-between. Get well soon.

@Shakil USA That's what I commented, however, to save PCB from disgrace as it is occasionally reported that PCB offers other teams to visit Pakistan and then get turned down, it is best to investigate the reasons for which teams refuse to visit Pakistan. There are international teams of other sport who are visiting Pakistan, why just cricket team? Looks like the issue is PCB and some behind the scene factors rather than security problems.

@bala I again request you to read my comment and understand it. We are discussing international cricket teams visiting Pakistan, and it is not just I who things Big 3 system has changed cricket in many ways for other countries besides 3 teams. @bala You should show how I am contradicting myself in so many ways, we talked about West Indies playing Pakistan in Pakistan, not some neutral venue where it prevents PCB from realizing full revenues and does not spectators to watch the matches. I wish you the same

For all Indians before passing comments about Pakistan not playing at home go and ask your cricket board why they are so scared of playing against Pakistan anywhere even in India. I bet if there will be a series even in India Pakistan will beat India regardless day or day and night test and regardless spin or unplayable wickets.
