QUETTA: Honorary Consul General of Japan Syed Nadeem Shah has said on that ikebana is an expression of respect and appreciation towards nature.

Speaking at an orientation workshop on ikebana here on Saturday, he said, “We observe life through the arrangements of plants.”

The workshop, attended by a large number of women from different walks of life, was jointly organised by the Rotary International and Serena Environmental and Educational Develop-ment.

Prof Asifa Ataka of Japan Consulate Karachi demonstrated various ways of arranging flowers.
