CHITRAL: Body of yet another student buried by a snow avalanche in Susoom village here was recovered on Thursday.

Sultan Shah, former district naib nazim, told Dawn by phone that the body of 9th grade student was spotted early on Thursday morning as the snow had melted. The victim was identified as Irshad Ali.

Nine students of the government high school, Susoom, were hit by a snow avalanche when they were returning to their village Parsan after appearing in a paper of matriculation examinations on March 19. Bodies of six of them have so far been recovered.

Mr Shah said that the personnel of Chitral Scouts, police and Levies, and a team of NDMA and local volunteers are taking part in the search operation.
