CHINIOT: Education authorities sealed a private school on Wednesday after its principal allegedly subjected a minor student to brutal torture.

Ali Haider, a Class III student at the privately-run Zakria Science School, Bhowana town, was allegedly subjected to brutal torture by the school principal, Zafar Iqbal.

Because of the torture, the student fell unconscious and his parents were called to the school and were handed over the injured child.

The parents shifted the child to Bhowana Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in a critical condition.

When the news was highlighted in the media, the school was sealed on the orders of executive district officer.

Legal action was also recommended against the school principal.

Abid Ali, father of the child alleged that the principal tortured his son without any reason and demanded the district police officer should order a case against him.

CHILD DIES: A 10-year-old child died after falling into an old well at Naqiabad village of Bhowana tehsil on Wednesday.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, Nawaz, son of Bilal, was playing cricket when he fell into a 50-foot deep well while chasing ball. The well is used to dump garbage.

The Rescue 1122 officials retrieved the boy’s body from the well after three-hour struggle.
