This is fantastic news. Tajdar Amrohvi, the son of the great film-maker of yesteryear Kamal Amrohvi who made the iconic film Pakeezah, has decided to revive the banner that his late father so diligently set up.

Last week, Tajdar A announced that he’s producing a film about the life of a common man living in Mumbai whose love story doesn’t culminate the way he wants it to. It will be directed by his long-time friend Shashilal Nair. Knowing the kind of work Kamal sahib did, if his son is able to come up with even half as good a film as he used to make, it will be nothing less than a cerebral and visual treat for cine-goers.
