KOHAT: A wanted terrorist belonging to a banned outfit and carrying head money of Rs1 million was arrested in a raid on a house in KDA Town here on Thursday.

The police got information that an office-bearer of outlawed Tehreek -i-Taliban Pakistan of Darra Adamkhel and Orakzai Agency was living in KDA, DPO Mohammad Sohaib Ashraf told Dawn.

Officials of an intelligence agency along with police conducted a clandestine operation and arrested Dilawar Khan alias Mufti, son of Kalam Shah of Mamozai tribe of Orakzai Agency, who was wanted to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police in various cases, including bomb blasts, attacks on security forces, kidnapping and murder, the DPO said.

He had been in hiding for several years in different parts of Fata and KP after which the government placed a head money of Rs1 million for his arrest. The arrested terrorist was taken to an unknown place for interrogation.
