LAHORE: Annual matriculation examination of Class-X of Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education will begin on March 1.

According to the board, the examination will be held in morning and evening shifts at 8:30am and 2:30pm, respectively. Class-IX examination of the board will begin on March 17.

The board said if the government announced a holiday during exams, it would not be applicable to the candidates.

Cambridge awards: The Cambridge International Examinations has announced winners of the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards.

Over 100 learners in Lahore will receive awards for exceptional performance in Cambridge examinations 2015, including 11 who achieved highest marks in the world and 46 who attained the highest score in Pakistan in a single subject.

ACCA: The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and LGS Defence International Degree Programme on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding to work towards advancement of the financial profession in Pakistan.

This arrangement will provide an opportunity to talented individuals to pursue a globally relevant qualification to enhance their career prospects and ultimately develop accounting profession in Pakistan.

GCU: The Old Ravians Union has announced grand reunion festivities for alumni.

The festivities will include a cricket match, reunion dinner and a music concert. The decision to organise these events was taken at a meeting of the union’s executive committee presided over by Kamran Lashari here on Wednesday.
