Talha claims singles title

KARACHI: Brilliant Talha Sohail quelled a stiff challenge from talented Eibad Sarwar in the mens singles final to clinch the title while Noor-e-Mustafa beat his opponent to move into the final of U-15 category here in the second edition of Union Club Open ranking tennis championship which is being played at the Union Club tennis courts.

In the ladies competition, Ayesha Yousuf, Erij Batool advanced by getting the better of their rivals.

U-17 Singles final - Talha Sohail bt Eibad Sarwar Hussain Khan 6=4, 6-4

U-15 semifinal - Noor-e-Mustafa (Moro) bt Sahibzada Mubeen (Khairpur) 7-5,6-3

Ladies Singles: Ayesha Yousuf bt Nomi Tariq 6-0,6-3; Aqsa Ahmed bt Tehreen Yousuf 8-3; Erij Batool Zaidi bt Ayesha 8-0.
