TAXILA: In the absence of proper safety measures, a labourer working at a stone crushing plant at Margalla Hills was killed after being hit by a boulder on Friday.
According to police sources, Rafaqat, was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims), Islamabad where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigating officer SI Yasir Mehmood of Taxila Police station told newsmen that a case of wilful negligence and lack of proper safety measures had been lodged against the plant owners.
During the last six months, dozens of labourers have fallen prey to lack of proper safety measures at the plants.
