News is that veteran Pakistani film director Saeed Rizvi has recently been to the US where he met people involved in creating hi-tech software for films. Apparently the director wants to learn how Hollywood has been using computer-generated images in motion pictures, in order for him to use some of that in his next Pakistani movie. It sounds good, rather very good.
The issue is that technology in a film can only be used in a convincing way if there is a worthwhile story to tell. Considering the kind of films that are made in Pakistan, I hope Saeed sahib puts story at the top of his priority list. I hope.
