QAU fee hike

Published January 17, 2016

THE Quaid-i-Azam vice-chancellor has increased the university fees. BS students who used to pay Rs27,000 per semester earlier are now required to pay Rs39,000. Similar is the case with MSc, MPhil and PhD students.

The fees for MSc has been increased from Rs15,000 to Rs26,000. The increment in fees has not benefited students. There is no proper arrangement for buses. The hostel is poorly managed. Students suffer owing to cold water supply in washrooms.

The Quaidian Students Federation met the vice-chancellor many times, but with no results. Now the agitating students have been told to quit the varsity or live with the problems.

I request the President of Pakistan to intervene in the matter.
