First Fata Youth Games from 23rd

PESHAWAR: The first Fata Youth Games will be held here and in Fata from Dec 23 to 29. The Games are being organised by Fata’s Olympic Association and Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.

Fata Olympic Association secretary Shahid Khan Shinwari said on Wednesday that more than 2,000 male and female athletes will compete in the disciplines of athletics, baseball, basketball, badminton, bodybuilding, cycling, cricket, netball, football, gymnastics, hockey, judo, karate, kabaddi, rugby, shooting, tug-of-war, tennis, taekwondo, wushu, weightlifting, volleyball, handball, cricket for handicap players (male) and table tennis.

Competitions will be held on venues like Bajaur Sports Complex, Bajaur Agency, Mohmand Sports Complex, Mohmand Agency, Jamrud Sports Complex, Khyber Agency, Parachinar Sports Complex, Kurram Agency, Dara Adam Khail, FR Peshawar and Qayyum Sports Complex.

Opening and closing ceremonies will be held at Qayyum Sports Complex.
