I AND my batch mates of Mechanical Engineering graduated from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, in March. After that, we applied for the Pakistan Engineering Council registration.
Days passed into weeks and weeks into months and I waited for my membership card which normally the PEC awards within three months. I approached the PEC to know my registration status and was shocked when they said that there was some issue with the university regarding the PEC membership criteria. I was asked to wait till the university fulfilled the PEC requirements.
Meanwhile, I started searching for a job, and was confronted with problems as every prospective employer asked for my PEC membership.
It has been seven months and we still await registration. Who should I hold responsible for the loss I have suffered?
