PESHAWAR: Five children got injuries when veranda of a private school collapsed at Pishtakhera here on Friday.

An official of Rescue 1122 said that veranda of Iqra Rozat ul Atfal collapsed early in the morning, trapping five children in the debris. Local people rushed to the site and rescued the trapped children.

They were taken to Lady Reading Hospital.

The rescue official said that children — two girls and three boys — had received minor injuries and were discharged from the hospital after getting treatment.
